Born in 1984 in the southeast of Brazil, Augusto Lopes always shared a passion for music. At a really young age Augusto started playing the piano, but soon discovered that the guitar was the instrument he wanted to play for life. And in the age of 14 he got his first guitar, immediately forming a band with his school friends. Strongly influenced by Black and Death Metal and with a passion for almost all genres, Augusto was invited to join brazilian band Eternal Malediction in 2002, that recorded one demo and soon signed a contract with a small label for the release of Eternal Malediction's debut 'Endeavor Through Thorns' (Force Majeure Records). After 5 years playing the local scene and sharing the stage with bands like Deicide and Behemoth, Augusto was invited to join Torture Squad, wich he gladly accepted. In april of 2008 he started an extensive european tour over more than 16 countries and 70 cities for 5 months.
Promoting Torture Squad's latest release 'Hellbound' from german record label Wacken Records, Augusto continues touring with Torture Squad and can be seeing live in 2008 on the most important event on Heavy Metal's calendar, the Wacken Open Air in northern germany, as in many other festivals throughout european summer.
