Chicago, IL - Washburn Guitars is proud to acknowledge its product’s appearance in the 2008 MTV Movie Awards. Mike Myers used a Washburn Electric in the "Wayne’s World" skit June 1st. He and Dana Carvey reprised their iconic roles as Wayne and Garth for a new episode of the popular comedy sketch, first made famous on Saturday Night Live in the early 1990s. The show is about two metalheads discussing heavy metal on a cable-access TV show in Aurora, Illinois. This is the first time these characters have performed since 1994. They discussed top ten adult film titles based on popular current movies.
