Boogie Street Worldwide Guitars to Host Hurricane Relief Guitar Auction
Chicago – September 12, 2005 – Boogie Street Guitars Worldwide, one of eBay's oldest, largest and most trusted guitar dealers in the world today, has set up an auction that will be hosted on eBay and benefit the Hurricane Katrina victims. The auction will begin on September 12, 2005. Guitars signed by artists such as Anthrax, Disturbed, Nuno Bettencourt, Adrian Belew, Rascall Flats, and Neal McCoy have been donated by US Music Corp, a parent company of Washburn and Parker Guitars. "Seeing and hearing about the devastation caused by this horrific natural disaster is beyond belief. Just as in the 9/11 tragedy, Boogie Street will continue to do all we can to aid those effected," comments Eric McKenna. Furthermore, Boogie Street Worldwide guitars will be donating a brand new Washburn Nick EVIL TWIN Catanese (Black Label Society Guitarist & Washburn Signature Endorsee) signature guitar in Trans black along with its Washburn hard-shell case. The guitar, eBay fees, Pay pal fees and UPS shipping within the continental 48 states & Canada will all be donated by Boogie Street Guitars and Nick Catanese. This means the exact winning bid, in its entirety, will be donated to the American Red Cross. Boogie Street is uniquely positioned to properly present and auction off these very special guitars. After the tragic happenings in the South, it is apparent that everyone needs to take extra steps to help raise money to rebuild many cities that have been demolished by Hurricane Katrina. The death toll has already reached an all time high and is still rising. Multiple cities within Louisiana and Mississippi are without water and power. New Orleans was completely under water. Some are calling this the US Tsunami with damages totaling $26 billion. It will take a minimum of three months just to get all of the water out of New Orleans, in order to begin the rebuilding process.
